Namaste! I am Mayank Upadhyay. I grew up in the beautiful hills of Uttarakhand. After working with big names like MMT and OYO, I started my own travel company because I wanted to show people my home—the “Land of Gods”—the right way.
Today, I’m helping you plan the perfect 6-day escape from the busy life of Pune to the serene Kumaon hills. We’ll cover the delhi to nainital tour package and the wild trails of Corbett. I’ve written this guide in very simple words so that anyone—even your elders who might struggle with complex English—can plan this trip easily.
Why Choose a Nainital and Jim Corbett Combo?
When you come from a busy city like Pune, you need two things: peace and excitement.
- Nainital gives you peace with its cold lakes and old temples.
- Jim Corbett gives you excitement with its deep forests and Royal Bengal Tigers.
This is the most loved corbett nainital tour package because it covers both nature and adventure in just 6 days.
Reaching Delhi by Flight (Fastest & Convenient)
Flying is the best way to save time so you can start your mountain drive early. The flight time is roughly 2 hours and 15 minutes.
| Airline | Early Morning Flights (Suggested) | Late Night Flights (Alternative) |
| IndiGo | 02:00, 05:05, 07:30 | 21:00, 23:05, 00:15 |
| Air India | 05:35, 07:40, 08:45 | 20:30, 22:00 |
| Akasa Air | 07:50 | 21:05 |
| SpiceJet | 06:00 | 18:30 |
- Pro Tip: I always suggest the 05:05 AM IndiGo or 05:35 AM Air India flights. You will land in Delhi by 7:30 or 8:00 AM, avoid Delhi’s peak office traffic, and reach the hills before sunset.
- Arrival Terminals: Most IndiGo flights land at Terminal 2 (T2), while Air India and some IndiGo flights land at Terminal 3 (T3). Both are very close, and our driver will meet you right at the arrival gate.
Reaching Delhi by Train (Scenic & Budget)
If you enjoy the slow pace of a train journey, there are several daily and weekly options.
| Train Name | Train No. | Departure (Pune Jn) | Arrival (Delhi/NZM) | Total Time |
| NZM Duronto | 12263 | 11:10 AM | 07:05 AM (Next Day) | 20h 00m |
| Goa Express | 12779 | 04:10 AM | 06:20 AM (Next Day) | 26h 10m |
| Jhelum Express | 11077 | 05:20 PM | 09:00 PM (Next Day) | 27h 40m |
- The Best Choice: The NZM Duronto Express is my top recommendation. It is the fastest, has the fewest stops, and serves great food on board. It arrives at Hazrat Nizamuddin (NZM) station, which is on the correct side of Delhi for starting your drive to Nainital.
- The Budget Choice: The Jhelum Express is a daily train and very reliable, but it takes much longer. It arrives at New Delhi (NDLS) station, which is more crowded.
Traveller’s Note from Mayank:
If you take the Duronto, you’ll arrive in Delhi early in the morning, feeling fresh. We can pick you up directly from the station and have you in Jim Corbett for a late lunch!
If you choose the Jhelum Express, you’ll arrive late at night. In that case, I recommend staying one night in a hotel near the Delhi airport or station so we can start our journey to the hills the following morning.
Which one sounds better for your plan? I can adjust the car pick-up time accordingly!

- Kainchi Dham: This is the ashram of Neem Karoli Baba. Even Steve Jobs and Mark Zuckerberg came here!
- Naina Devi Temple: Situated right at the edge of the lake.
- Eco Cave Gardens: Great for kids to crawl and learn about caves.
- Mall Road: Perfect for evening walks and eating hot momos.
- Tiffin Top: You have to hike a bit, but the view of the Himalayas is amazing.
Conclusion
Uttarakhand is not just a place; it is a feeling. Whether you take a Delhi to nainital tour package or go deep into the Corbett jungle, you will return to Pune with a happy heart.
