Badrinath temple is dedicated to lord vishnu, has an opening and closing ceremony annually around late April or start of May, and closing in late October and early November in winter, when the temple is closed, lord badrinath is ceremoniously shifted to the Narsingh temple in Joshimath, where prayers continue till the temple reopens the next year.
A Badrinath temple opens every day during the pilgrimage season, from April or May to October or November, with a very strict schedule of aarti and rituals by the rawal (head of priests)

Mana Village is the last village before the Tibetan border. It is located just 3km from Badrinath. According to Hindu mythology, this was the place where the Pandavas passed through during their journey to heaven, and also known for Vyas gufa and Ganesh gufa, linked to the Mahabharata.
