Beat time to Visit Harshil Valley

The best time to visit Harsil is from April to June and September to November. In summer, the weather is cool and pleasant, perfect for sightseeing, trekking, and enjoying apple orchards. Autumn offers clear skies with breathtaking views of the Himalayas, making it ideal for nature lovers. How to Reach Harsil Valley

Harsil can be reached by road from Rishikesh, Dehradun, and Haridwar via Uttarkashi, with taxis and buses available. The nearest railway station is Dehradun (220 km), while Haridwar (270 km) also offers good connectivity. The closest airport is Jolly Grant Airport, Dehradun (about 235 km), from where you can continue the journey by taxi or bus.

By Road

Harsil is well connected by road. You can drive or take a bus/taxi from Rishikesh (about 250 km), Haridwar (about 270 km), or Dehradun (about 220 km). The route goes via Rishikesh → Uttarkashi → Harsil. Roads are hilly, so travel time can be long.

By Train

The nearest railway station is Dehradun, around 220 km away. From there, taxis and buses are available to reach Uttarkashi and onward to Harsil. Haridwar (270 km) is another option with better train connectivity.

By Air

The closest airport is Jolly Grant Airport, Dehradun (about 235 km). From the airport, you can hire a taxi or take a bus to Uttarkashi and then continue to Harsil.
